Anyone who has slain a dragon deserves some fun, and St. Georgians enjoy a wide range of events - from concerts to croquet, from pub nights quizzes to lunch time speakers.

Examples of just some of our regular events:

Eating the Empire is a series of excursions to restaurants featuring the food of countries once forming part of the British Empire….and highlighted by illuminating talks by the restaurant chefs.

Pub Nights feature a rousing quiz, jolly camaraderie, prizes and surpizes.

Recitals and lunch take place in the Great Hall of St. George’s Hall.

The Garden Party is held in a spectacular, private garden and includes a croquet tournament.

The Red Rose Ball is a glittering, black-tie fundraiser honouring a distinguished citizen with the Award of Merit for contributions to the community.

The nostalgic Christmas Celebration takes place in the Great Hall decked with boughs of holly. Flaming Christmas pudding completes a feast. Entertainment. Rounds of toasts and Land of Hope and Glory. Christmas carols in the Great Hall and later around the piano in the bar. Christmas like you always hoped it would be!
